This is so Southern Water can urgently work to reduce the demand on the rivers. The company has now revealed more about how it will decide when the ban will lift. Due to the long spell of dry and hot weather, the ban comes into effect this Friday (August 5). For Sussex and Kent, the measure will start on Friday, August 12.
