I also noticed that my exhaust manifold was cracked so I replaced that as well. Installed a block heater in the rear freeze plug hole while I was at it and also did a new valve cover gasket. You could've put in 'real' freeze plugs like the factory does since it was fully pulled apart. Those rubber plugs are made so you don't have to strip the block to get to the freeze plugs.
