WebYou will want thin-set mortar for laying your tiles. For this job, your best bet is to get the mortar in powder form and mix it yourself. You should only mix as much mortar as you will use in 45 minutes, as it sets quickly. This probably means mixing only as much as you need to lay the first course of tile. WebFloor seems reasonably level but understand levelling compound or sanding may be required if I find noticeable unevenness. If you haven't done any tiles before, cutting a clean circle will be next to impossible for you. Not sure about the rules involved, but it's probably better to get a professional in.
