WebThere is no bridge across the Murray at Greg Greg—the nearest are upstream at Towong and downstream at Tintaldra—but the old fording location known as the 'Lighthouse Crossing', lies immediately south of the locality. This old crossing was the scene of many accidental deaths and near misses, before the construction of the bridge at Towong. WebMar 1, 2024 · Towong Bridge is a timber beam bridge, built in 1938 and crossing the Murray River between Bringenbrong, in NSW, and Towong, in Victoria. In 2016, a temporary support solution was installed to extend the life of the current bridge to resist regular flooding events that are common on the upper Murray River.
