Most likely, when taking off the hose, they cracked the plastic nozzle by using a screwdriver to wedge off the old clamp. Of course, you will never get them to admit it. Go to the junkyard and get a new radiator. WebFeb 23, 2024 · change the thermastate 20$. get some bug remover on the rad and gentle wash it with a hose from under the bonnet side. check electric radiator fan switch or sensor needs replacing. make sure all air is bled from the system when refilled and open the heater controls to hot as well. good luck.

The first time i was driving it home after purchasing it from my bro. in Dallas...no returns :rofl:..no biggie i put new hoses (upper and lower) new thermostat and new fluid.

The easiest problem to fix could be a faulty radiator cap. It may not be able to hold the pressure because it is worn or broken, allowing coolant to leak past it and out the overflow. But the whole thing with the with the reservoir cap popping off makes me think that your head gasket is blown and it is burning up some of your coolant (making you coolant low) and also causing the excess pressure that is making you cap pop off.
