WebJan 28, 2010 · The reason for the HP cab is to allow the T.Verb to run at its full 200W output which needs an 8 ohm cab. I think the thinking behind all this is that the 200W setting is really for use as a bass amp. (Most bass cabs are 8 or 4 ohms!) 200W for guitar is way more than almost anyone will ever really need.
